Every aspirant planning to study in Canada must have heard about this program that allows students to attain valuable work experience in Canada. So, if you are studying at a designated learning institution (DLI), then you stand a chance to apply for a PGWP or Post-Graduation Work Permit. This permit lets you work for any employer located anywhere in Canada. Thus, giving you the freedom to explore work opportunities in any province in Canada. We have made a list of the top three things students must keep in mind while applying for their PGWP. But before that, let’s understand what PGWP is.
If you apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) within 180 days of completing your co-op program, you must stop any work associated with completing the co-op program immediately. You can only start working full-time once you disassociate yourself from the co-op program and from the date of your PGWP application. It is important to adhere to this rule to avoid any issues with your PGWP application.
